Why aren’t YOU winning? It is not like you don’t want to win. I know that when I’m desiring to win and I’m not winning… I feel defeated. I feel beat up, beat down and like a failure. You know what I’m talking about. The place where you feel like you are trying but you can’t seem to win. YOU’RE doing all the stuff… got a coach, got a mentor, reading all the books… BUT WHY?
I’m going to give you a very simple key component of maybe why you’re not WINNING… it is because you are imagining yourself LOSING. I know you are resisting that statement!
How much have you allowed your imagination to run wild with visualization?
But I’m just waiting for the other foot to fall…
Like when things are good, but it’s not going to last…
Or when you see the bank account as zero-
Instead of seeing those numbers increasing.
They create every time you have a thought, every time you have a word… it is creating. I’m not going to go deeper on that, but there’s some cool metaphysical stuff and science behind that, it is true! This last week I was at church and my pastor was preaching out of the book of Numbers in chapter thirteen. He was talking about (you don’t have to be a church person to probably have heard this) the spies and how they were sent to scout out the promised land, the goodness of God that God had promised them in the land. They sent 12 spies in and if you know 10 of the spies came back with a bad report, an evil report. The Bible says that only two came back with a good report.
NUMBERS 13:30-33
Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “We must go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly conquer it!” But the men who had gone up with him replied, “We cannot go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are!” So they gave the Israelites a bad report about the land that they had spied out: “The land we explored devours its inhabitants, and all the people we saw there are great in stature. We even saw the Nephilim there—the descendants of Anak that come from the Nephilim! We seemed like grasshoppers in our own sight, and we must have seemed the same to them!”
Here’s what I want you to get… those spies were imagining everything they said about that bad report and it was in their vien imagination; their jacked-up, loser, defeated, failure imagination. And this is what got me on Sunday morning… “The land we explored devours people.” and it makes you wonder: did they see man eating plants? What did they actually see? They didn’t see that, did they see a giant eat a man? No, they did not.
I know that because they were people. And if they had actually seen any of those scenarios, this would not have not been “the land devours.” It would have been, here’s the play by play of what happened. This guy was talking by and then this plant ate him up… there was blood everywhere and it was crazy. It would have been an eyewitness account, this wasn’t an eyewitness account. It was their imaginations saying the land devours and they saw big men… they didn’t see the big men do anything, but yeah… THEY WERE BIG. But at the same time, they said they were like grasshoppers and that they had looked the same to them. So their vain imaginations made themselves even smaller than they were. AND IT MADE THE GIANTS… EVEN BIGGER! They didn’t actually know what those other guys were thinking… but their imaginations, their visualization made themselves much smaller.
Their FEAR, their DOUBT overwhelmed them because that’s what they were seeing was what they were imagining. They lost before they ever had a battle because their imaginations got away with them. They let it take over with every step along their journey through the wilderness, the desert because they imagined if we go back there we are going to get destroyed, devoured, death.
Why are you losing? Because you cannot stop seeing yourself losing. Plain and simple. You might be losing because you have not been able to shift your vision of your life, of your business, of your relationships, of prosperity… You have got to be able to see it.
Caleb saw everything that they all saw and he said, let’s go in and possess it because in his imagination: he imagined VICTORY! He was thinking take out the giant, we’re going to win, we’re going to possess the promised land, because God said we could have it with every step. Because of his faith, his confidence increased his vision of the goodness of God being in his life.
And that my friends is the power of what you see in your imagination… WHAT YOU VISUALIZE FOR YOUR FUTURE. So, why are you losing? Why aren’t you winning is the question I started with. It might be because you haven’t seen yourself win.
And I challenge you to sit down and journal or make a note on your phone: describe what victory looks like, what winning looks like. I highly recommend a few books by Joe Dispenza to help you on this journey: Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, Becoming Supernatural, You are the Placebo because the point of all of them is that your mind is more powerful than you could ever imagine. Not just seeing it, but feeling it! If you write those things down and you begin to see it, begin to feel it YOU JUST MIGHt START WINNING! You will see your victory!
It won’t feel like before because you will have experienced the reality of it. And I guarantee you, you will have to do some work because Faith Without Works Is Dead. So you’ve got to do your part, so start with writing it down, making a note because you will begin to see it, feel it, and experience the change.
