- How do I find my Sweet Spot?

Momentum is a tricky thing; how do I get momentum? Or how do I get my momentum back? Some of you are going into a new season and you know we are coming up to the new year, just ending the summer and going into fall. I’m totally ready for fall!
When you are transitioning it is a great opportunity to get momentum or see momentum. When you get momentum, when you have momentum… little challenges, little distractions, little obstacles… momentum rolls right over all those little things. And when there is enough momentum, it will roll right over sometimes even the bigger things.
Momentum is a pretty important thing. And so for me, one way that I learned to get momentum is to Maximize Transitions. And I am going to share with you two ways today how to maximize transitions. If you are reading this and you’re an entrepreneur, you are probably thinking about how to maximize the transition to the last quarter. What is another way to create momentum going into Q4 is another way to ask the same question. You might be reading this at a different time in the calendar year and that’s okay because transitions matter. All transitions matter.
Before you move forward to the next thing, the next goal, or a whole bunch of new goals for a fiscal quarter… take a moment to look back because gratitude is a powerful thing. And when we look back, we can grab hold of the wins. When we look back, we can grab hold of the progress. I saw a post the other day on social media and it said something about, “Hey, why don’t you take a minute and reflect on what you’ve accomplished in the last twelve months?” And I took that to my journal and started writing down all the wins from the last year. And I started writing down the progress and I’m tell you, you may be stumped at first. But once you get started, it just tends to flow and you start to see all the things you are grateful for.
So why is looking back and finding the wins and increasing the gratitude important for creating momentum? Because those wins that progress from the past can create momentum to move into the future, to move in with confidence. Because once you see what you have done, you should be able to say “What can’t I do?” and “What can’t I achieve in this next season?”
When I took that time and looked at the last 23 months, I was extremely encouraged: I became an Amazon International Bestselling Author, finishing that book, hitting milestones in my personal business. I’ve seen a number of my clients have increased revenue numbers and accomplishments. I’ve had awesome things happen with my family. When I started to look back at the things that have come out of the last twelve months and the things I have created it creates sooo much momentum inside of me.
Some of you think that momentum has to come in concrete results, but when you look back there are going to be concrete things and there are going to be also momentum created lik faith in your heart, your passion, and your drive. And it is going to give you the confidence to push past all the head trash and move forward into your next season.
So number one, LOOK BACK so you can find the wins!
I challenge you to sit down and journal this evening, tomorrow morning to find those wins. If you go back to the last season or go back to the last summer or fall or winter, whatever works for you… FIND THOSE WINS so that you can move forward with momentum.
So first you are going to look backwards and grab some value there and then you can move forward with momentum and confidence. Going forward, set your intention. What are you going to create? So we are coming up on the end of the year; whatever year it is, whatever date it is that you are reading this… what are you going to be able to look back at?
Like if you catapulted yourself from now to there, what do you want to be able to look back and say this is what I accomplished? That’s one way to think about it. Or you could just say, you know what, based on what’s happened in the first part of the year, this is what my intention for the rest of the year. Personally, my intention is to manifest this year, to create. Think about a one word intention you could have, think of something that is very emotive for you, that you are very passionate about.
And also, looking forward you might have an intention that is more concrete. You’ve probably heard me say something about a book called The One Thing, the audio is around five and a half hours, by Gary Keller. I cannot recommend this book enough. The focusing question that he gives you in the book is what is the one thing that if you do it, it makes everything else easier or even unnecessary? And you could apply that to your intention for the end of the year!
What is the one thing that I need to accomplish by the end of this year?
What is the one thing, the most important thing?
And that becomes your intention. Now there’s obviously going to be some other things that flow from that statement. And just for the record, we are not talking about setting goals. That’s another blog for another time. We are talking about setting a clear intention.
Ever heard of the law of attraction? Do you believe in it? I do. When you begin to speak, think, focus… wherever your energy flows, YOU WILL CREATE MORE OF IT. This applies to your intention. And when you set your intention, get clear and be intentional about it. Don’t take it lightly.
I’ve had this conversation on hundreds of mastermind calls. And it usually starts with people setting an intention at the beginning of the year and they’ll talk about it, be clear about it on the call, and six months later… or longer they will tell me they forgot what their intention was. So, don’t take it lightly and be passionate about your intention.
When I look back, it happened. I manifested everything that I wanted to, I created the outcomes I was focused on, and the thing that really mattered was speaking it over my life everyday. I declared it everyday and backed it up with action!
You’re really going to blow your own mind with what you are able to create in this next season, but let me tell you the power of setting intentions is real and I want to encourage you to do it yourself. So look back with gratitude, find the eins and take some time to set your intention on how you are going to finish out this year.
I hope that this really encourages you and helps you to take back your power and take your life to the next level. And if this blog really resonated with you, let me know: message me on social media. I see you, I value you and you’re important. Now it is time to go out there and give your greatness to the world!! Don’t hold back, go out there and give it away!!
